Located in a suite of buildings giving 450m2 of operational floor space
Specialist facilities are provided for chemical,
thermo-chemical, mineralogical, physical and mechanical tests
on road and building materials.
The laboratory is particularly well equipped
for work on slag based products.
Particular emphasis is
placed on sample preparation and the laboratory is exceptionally
well equipped for such work.

- Testing of "Graves-Laitier" including

a-coefficient of granulated blast furnace slag
- Volumetric stability testing of both blast
furnace and steel making slag (techniques
unique to TRS)
